One point, or a car park
A point at a private house and a car park at a business are not the same problem. The first fits inside the existing supply nine times out of ten; the second means deciding what charges, at what power, and at which hour of the day.
In both cases the question is not the charge point, it is what the meter can give while the rest of the building runs.
A charge point that ignores the rest of the building takes the building down.
Load balancing measures what the installation is already drawing and adjusts charging power in real time. The car charges more slowly through the midday peak and catches up overnight, instead of tripping the main.
That is what allows a serious charge point without upgrading the supply, and it is the part of the work nobody sees.
What the Infinity kit adds
- Circuit priority
- You decide what goes first. The system feeds the essential loads in priority and makes the rest wait, rather than half-serving everything.
- Self-consumption
- Charging follows solar generation: it rises while the roof produces and drops when it stops, instead of pulling from the grid beside panels that are exporting.
- Load balancing
- Power is shared between the points and the building continuously, which protects the supply and avoids billed peaks.
